Parking Space

Bannerghatta Biological Park has a dedicated parking area measuring roughly an extent of 02.00 Hectare facilitating visitors vehicle parking who visit to see the various units Zoo, Safari and Butterfly Park at a nominal parking fee. The parking area for four/two wheelers is adjacent to main entrance area at walking distance. In all around two and half thousand vehicles will have the facility of parking at a time in the park.

Drinking Water

Drinking water is provided at various locations in and around the park. Also, bottles water is available for sale at some shops in and around the park

Restrooms

There are four Sulab Sauchalaya facilities

  • Outside the zoo – near the parking area
  • In the zoo expansion area near Hill View Restaurant
  • There are two units inside the existing zoo premises one near Gharial enclosure and
  • Another near nocturnal enclosure

Baby Care Unit

The zoo has two baby care units located near the safari waiting area and near the white peacock enclosure with diaper changing and feeding facilities.

Lawns, sit out benches and paragolas

They are located and established at appropriate places appropriating the public requirement. However, walking on lawns and flower beds are prohibited.

Restaurants and hotels

Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation limited, an under taking of GoK, under the control of state tourism department is running a hotel, Muyura Vanashree , in the vicinity of zoo. The snacks, food, beverages are being catered by this facility during the zoo timings. The Jungle Lodges and Resorts Ltd., are also running a restaurant namely the Hill View Restaurant within the zoo premises. Visitors can have their lunch and other refreshment in these hotels

There are many refreshment kioks including Nandhini products are inside the zoo premises.

Jungle Lodges & Resorts Ltd., (JLR)

It has entered into the BBP in 2002 with MoU to upgrade the existing “Nature Camp” of the earlier picnic corner in to a tented accommodation – tourist resort with facility of “Board Room” for corporate to conducts outdoor meetings. The safari visit has been made compulsory for the visitors to the resort so that, the wildlife enthusiast only will have access to visit this resort.

The presence of KJLR, which is one of the recognized and best JLR under GoK undertaking, has enhanced the visitors of the BBP in the international tourism market and it is yielding good dividends to the park. It is running a good restaurant inside its campus to meet the needs of visitors.

Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation

It is one of the undertakings of GoK in the field of tourism before entry of this organization into this park in 1997-98 during the reigns of BNP with MoU, the park was fed up in meeting the demands of tourists in providing safari trips to the visitors during school vacations and on holidays with the limited resources of KFD.

Thanks to the capacity of the KSTDC; that it is capable of coping with ever increasing demand of the tourists by deploying required number of cabins for safari trips without any organization pressure on the park. Both the Institutions are happy with the MoU and it has also vested heavily in the BBP constructing a beautiful and model restaurant in our campus for catering to the visitors. This is being run on contract by the KJLR.

Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC)

For all practical purposes, this park is running as it is within Bengaluru city. Most of its staff and labour force commute from the city and the visitors are mostly from Bengaluru or from Bengaluru side.

The common men use to struggle for transportation to visit the park. Thanks to the wisdom of the BMTC in entering within MoU with the park, to have a modern bus stand nearer to our campus for operate regular buses.

They built a beautiful bus stand in an area of 2.00 acres allotted to them and opened it in 2011. It is operating umpteen numbers of buses from important bus stands of Bengaluru city and thus provides good transportation facilities to the visitors/staff to the park. It is a plus point to the park to attract more visitors and gain.
